Karate Cadets 11 - 15 years

EMA’s Karate Cadets is an intensive program for children and teens aged 11 to 15 years that focuses on developing their skills and stamina to an advanced level in preparation for obtaining their junior black belt with the Shotokan Karate Coalition (SKC).

Building on the foundations laid down in Katate Kidz, the program is designed around the three basic structures of Shotokan karate:
 

 

 

Karate Cadets also continue studying the grappling art jiu-jitsu and the self defence skills initiated in the Karate Kidz program.

In addition to its obvious physical benefits, EMA’s Karate Cadets program strives to provide teens with the self-confidence and focus they need to navigate the modern world by encouraging young people to:
 

 

Karate Cadets are encouraged to compete in the Australian Karate Federation (AKF) domestic circuit, with successful participants moving on to international competition with the World Karate Federation (WKF).

High school-aged students are also offered an exclusive opportunity to participate in a "Karatedo Youth Development Training Camp" with our sister school Meitoku Gijuku High School in Kochi, Japan, where we currently have students from the Karate Cadets program completing an international exchange through scholarships provided by Meitoku Gijuku High School and Evolution Martial Arts.

All EMA students receive a FREE karate uniform (gi) and belt when full registration is complete. EMA accepts new enrolments year-round.
